History

On a hunt, our founder used a competitor’s clip-on and just wanted to look through it off the scope. The lever struck his eye. In that painful moment he vowed to build a better, safer adapter.

Milestones and development

• 20 April 2018 – company registered (experiments started years before)
• Material science focus: alloy selection, spring effect without failure
• Work with Impol and surface engineering to get the right properties
• Hard anodising; tuned sliding/contact surfaces to avoid wear
• Tested closures at different hardness levels for perfect feel
• 62 mm adapter held 290 kg without issues
• Ultra‑slim variant developed
• Custom tools (at least three) built for Smartclip production
• Series production established; over 100k units in the field
• First to introduce silence features (ring and lever damping)
• 3‑year warranty; practically no returns
